ABOUT THE LAUNDRY LIST:
Get ready to find yourself smiling and your toes tapping along with the cast of The Laundry List! Featuring a talented group of tap dancers as its lead characters, live music on stage and side-splitting humor, this original story is fast becoming a crowd-pleasing romp through Canada’s prohibition era.

Set in 1919, Ruby Benoit’s father, a renowned bootlegger, has mysteriously died. Eager to save the family business, Ruby and her sister Zelda go incognito to spy on the competition. They look to Frankie’s SUDS and Bubbles for inspiration, the #1 bootlegging business in town. Frankie’s Bubbles is a Laundry Shop where the booze from Frankie’s SUDS is cleverly delivered to thirsty patrons. Pretending to be dancers, Ruby and Zelda audition for the Speakeasy chorus line with plans to spy on Frankie’s methods. The ladies make the dance cut and Zelda is overjoyed since she has always not-so-secretively wanted to be a famous dancer. Ruby has to remind her sister to “stick to the plan” while the two of them try to infiltrate Frankie’s business. The sisters come up against a “Laundry List” of problems, including run-ins with gangsters, running from the cops, and conflicting friendships. When everything is finally going according to plan for the sisters, Frankie’s Laundry List of customers suddenly goes missing and the chorus girls find themselves in a tense showdown of guns and tap shoes. Running an illegal business has never been so complicated…or hilarious!

The Laundry List whisks you back to the golden age of jazz, with flappers, tappers, and gangsters- oh my! Returning to the stage after a sold-out performance, this vaudeville musical comedy is not to be missed. With live music, singing, and tap dancing, this talented cast of 13 will leave you with a song in your heart and a skip in your step.
